The VIII Congress of the CCI of Russia was held online today. It was attended by delegates from the country's chambers of commerce and industry, commercial organizations, unions, associations and other associations of entrepreneurs - members of the CCI RF, as well as representatives of the RF Federal Assembly, executive power and public organizations.
The Congress summed up the results of the work of the CCI system over the years after the VII Congress, determined the main directions of activity for 2021-2025, and chose the governing bodies of the CCI of Russia.
President of the CCI of Russia Sergei Katyrin reported on the activities of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation after the VII Congress. He analyzed in detail the work of the CCI of Russia in 2016-2020. Among the topics raised in the report were the following: the development of the CCI system, primarily in the regions, legislative work, representation of the CCI in various public formations under the ministries and departments of Russia, international activities and the development of the exhibition, fair and congress industry.
The delegates heard the reports of the Credentials Committee and the Auditing Committee.
As part of the agenda, a new version of the CCI of Russia’s Charter and a number of documents regulating the internal life of the country's Chamber system were discussed and adopted.
The delegates of the congress adopted the Priority directions of activity of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation for 2021-2025.
The main directions for 2021-2025 are:

increasing the efficiency of interaction between chambers of commerce and industry, member organizations; diversification of services rendered by chambers;

improvement of legislation and law enforcement practice in terms of simplifying the conditions for doing business, reducing administrative barriers. Development and popularization of arbitration and mediation;

improving the investment climate;
-
development of international cooperation;
-
personnel training and development of a professional qualification system;
-
increasing the role of the CCI of Russia in the information space.
Corresponding detailed plans have been developed for the implementation of each of these areas.
In the final part of the Congress, elections of the governing bodies of the CCI of Russia took place.
The Congress re-elected Sergei Katyrin as President of the CCI of Russia and also approved the new composition of the CCI RF Council and the CCI RF Board.
